Horses
Horses are a valuable resource to help us slow down and explore the innate wisdom of our interior landscape, listen to our body’s inherent wisdom and connect with ourselves and others. The relationship we establish as we connect with the horse carries over into our daily lives – our relationship with our family, friends, associates, peers.
By stepping into the horse’s world, we tap into their innate resources. Through them, we see how we can reach our highest potential.
There’s something about being with horses – finding our own inner silence – they open the space for us to simply * be * and in *being* we listen deeply to others and to ourselves. Truly listening is one of the greatest gifts we give our selves and others.

Horses hold a lot of emotion and value for me. They were my emotional support, kept me close to nature, fit, agile, and strong. They were my friends when I was at home, my teammates when I was competing at a show, my pride when riding bareback, jumping over barrels, no safety net, just me and the horse. We worked as a team.
Now as an adult, they continue to be a valuable resources, and friends, to me. They slow me down after a hard day. Grooming them allows me to feel the joy of helping another being. Moving them shows me universal strength that I can borrow. Being moved by them – using their cues -- guides me in ways to lead and guide others.
Living in your body, not just your mind, is unfamiliar territory to many of us. Western culture undervalues the importance of our somatic knowledge – our body’s wonderful way of understand and being. If you decide with your mind, work with horses to answer questions with your body.
Your body may be talking to you – you may have chronic back pain, heaviness of spirit, obesity . . . You may feel overwhelmed, disconnected, tension, stress, unbalanced. You may be in a life transition – divorce, new baby, marriage, moving, career change, graduation . . . or just feel the urge to try something new.
Through my work with you and the horse, we will work on repatterning your way of being in the world in order to become more embodied, resulting in a fuller, richer life.
Facilitating and coaching your embodied experience with horses is a joy of mine. If you’re interested or curious about connecting more deeply with your body’s internal wisdom with horses and nature, please contact me.
